All services provided by StrongHosting may be used for lawful purposes only. Transmission, storage or presentation of any information, data or material in violation of any United States federal, state or city law is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to: copyrighted material, material we judge to be threatening or obscene, or material protected by trade secret and other statute. The subscriber agrees to indemnify and hold harmless StrongHosting from any claims resulting from the use of service which damages the subscriber or any other party.
Prohibited are sites that promote any illegal activity or present content that may be damaging to StrongHosting’ servers, or any other server on the Internet. Links to such materials are also prohibited.
Examples of unacceptable content, links and usage:
-Hacking programs or archives
-CPU/resource intensive programs
-Denial of service attacks
-Transmission or storage of copyrighted or illegal content
-Sale of controlled substances or online pharmacies
StrongHosting reserves the right to constitute what is a violation of server abuse and may terminate the account without notification.
All account plans come with a predetermined amount of traffic allowance. VPS and dedicated servers will be suspended upon reaching their traffic allowance. Additional bandwidth may be purchased at anytime.
We do allow IRC as long as it does not attract malicious traffic. An account may be suspended if DDoS attacks or malicious activity is detected on or toward the service.
Shared/Reseller Hosting Accounts:
On shared and reseller hosting services, we do not allow it to be used as a personal file locker or for backup purposes. This also includes storing content that is otherwise not publicly available, or a useful purpose to serving a website. In short, shared/reseller hosting accounts can only be used to host legitimate website use cases. If you are looking to do anything else such as storing backups, please purchase a VPS or Dedicated Server.
We do not allow the following on our VPS servers:
- i. infringes on any third party’s intellectual property or publicity/privacy rights;
- ii. violates any applicable law or regulation;
- iii. involves deceptive or fraudulent activities;
- iv. is defamatory, violent, clearly harmful, or obscene or infringes on citizens’ rights;
- v. contains any viruses, worms, Trojan horses, time bombs, cancel bots, port scanning, stress testing, IP spoofing, Phishing, or other computer programming routines that are intended to
- vi. damage or interfere with any system, data, or personal information;
- vii. attempts to harm StrongHosting's servers or other servers in any way (Attacks, CPU intensive programs for no reason, etc);
- viii. involves spamming, mailservers, or mass marketing of any kind, or any type of investment/lottery sites;
- ix. involves brute force and other vulnerability-checking programs, even if for security purpose;
- x. involves traffic exchange / relay websites or Services, including autosurf sites, TOR nodes, open public proxies, and topsites list;
- xi. involves mass public file storage of any kind (image hosting site, video hosting site, torrents, etc);
- xii. involves high CPU/Bandwidth usage, I/O usage, and network usage, or in any other way disrupting the performance of other customers;
- xiii. involves constantly receiving attacks on Customer’s Services or failure to secure Services properly; or
- xiv. involves crawling/scraping, loading excessive number of websites, or running web macro plugins/scripts.
- xv. involves running a program/script that is designed to use maximum CPU (such as cryptocurrency miners) and not a general fixed amount equal or lesser to the processing power assigned to your service.
Any attempt to undermine or cause harm to a server or customer of StrongHosting is strictly prohibited. As our customer you are responsible for all your accounts. Should you violate the Terms of Services outlined within, your account will be cancelled without chance of refund
Sending of bulk unsolicited commercial email (spam), is not allowed and will not be tolerated. Customers using the StrongHosting network may not send, or allow to be sent, via open relay or other means, unsolicited commercial email. Running a legitimate opt-in mailing list, or emailing existing customers, is of course, allowed. Although we may provide some opportunity to rectify spam problems that are not intentional on the part of the customer, ultimately, every customer is responsible for the activity that occurs via the services that they are paying for. Thus, customers who receive an occasional spam complaint but who do not appear to be knowingly sending spam, may be given notice to correct the issue, but repeated offenses may be grounds for service suspension. During any notice period given (if any), steps may be taken by StrongHosting as necessary to stop spam from being sent by the customer’s services, including temporarily suspending service, firewall certain traffic, or other appropriate means. Customers who are, as determined by StrongHosting, knowingly sending spam may have their service permanently suspended without refund. Operating websites or services on the StrongHosting network, that are being or have been advertised in spam, are also not allowed, and are subject to the same policies as applied to services used to send spam. If customer’s improper actions or inaction are the cause of StrongHosting ip space being listed in any spam blacklist or database, that customer may be permanently suspended without refund, at the sole discretion of StrongHosting.
If it is found that an IP Address attached to a client’s active service has been blacklisted during use, due to email spam or any type of abuse deemed by StrongHosting, we may at our sole discretion, bill the client a $125 USD “cleaning fee” for each IP Address.
Refusal of Service
We reserve the right to refuse, cancel or suspend service, at our sole discretion. All sub-networks, distributive hosting sites and dedicated servers of StrongHosting must adhere to the above policies, with the exception of system resources in respect to dedicated servers.
Once you place your order your account will not be activated until we receive your payment. Users, will receive invoices that are sent via email approximately one week before they are due. Invoices are to be paid on or by the date on the invoice. Failure to comply will result in your account being terminated. If you then wish to re-register for the account, all regular sign-up rules and prices will apply. If at any time your account becomes past due or inactive for any reason, we reserve the right to change your rate to match the current prices. We reserve the right to deny any order
Money back guarantee & refund policy
We offer a 3 day Money back guarantee on Shared, Reseller and VPS hosting Plans. Dedicated servers do not fall under the refund policy.
Any account deactivated due to non-payment will require a reactivation fee of $20.00 prior to reactivation.
Refusal of Service
We reserve the right to refuse, cancel or suspend service, at our sole discretion.
StrongHosting makes the best effort to backup customer's files and data as well as run all of our servers on RAID10 protected hardware. However under no circumstance is StrongHosting liable for the preservation or backup of any files or data. StrongHosting makes no guarantee that any customer's data will be backed up. StrongHosting advises all customers to maintain a copy of their data off of the server at all times.
Limitation of Liability
StrongHosting shall not be responsible for any claimed damages, including incidental and consequential damages, which may arise from StrongHosting ‘ servers going off-line or being unavailable for any reason whatsoever. Furthermore, StrongHosting shall not be responsible for any claimed damages, including incidental or consequential damages, resulting from the corruption or deletion of any web site from one of StrongHosting ‘ servers. All damages shall be limited to the immediate termination of service.
Violations of these Acceptable Use Policies should be referred to support [@] StrongHosting.net.
All complaints will be investigated promptly. Failure to follow any term or condition will be grounds for immediate account deactivation.
StrongHosting cannot be held liable for system downtime, crashes or data loss. We cannot be held liable for any predicted estimate of profits which a client would have gained if their site was functioning. Certain services provided by StrongHosting are resold. Thus, certain equipment, routing, software and programming used by StrongHosting are not directly owned or written by StrongHosting. Moreover, StrongHosting holds no responsibility for the use of our clients’ accounts. Failure to comply with any terms or conditions will result in the automatic deactivation of the account in question. We reserve the right to remove any account, without advance notice for any reason without restitution, as StrongHosting sees fit.
By activating your account with StrongHosting, you agree to the above policies and disclaimer. Upon requesting activation of an account, you are required to accept these policies, guidelines and disclaimer, and a copy of your acceptance is forwarded along with your activation request to be maintained with your account information.
NOTICE: If you sign up for an account and fail to comply with these terms, no refunds will be given. We will, however, advise you by e-mail or phone prior to taking any action to provide you with an opportunity to correct the problem.
Server Uptime Guarantee
StrongHosting guarantees 99.99% service (http, ftp, pop, imap, smtp) uptime on all hosting plans. Should we fail to deliver this for any given calendar month, your account will be credited a pro-rated amount for the duration of excessive downtime.
StrongHosting reserves the right to amend any or all of the above policies, guidelines and disclaimer without notification. We also retain the right to increase any pricing and make changes to our account plans without notification.
